To mark the company\u2019s 125th anniversary and its commitment to art and culture, we are opening the exhibition \u2018Parallels and Meridians\u2019 at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Iberdrola\u2019s Executive Chairman, Ignacio Gal\u00e1n, and the Lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, opened an exhibition on 28 April at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum comprising over a hundred works representative of Iberdrola\u2019s corporate art collection<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With \u2018Parallels and Meridians\u2019, Iberdrola reinforces its commitment to art and culture and to Bilbao. The exhibition, comprising a selection of modern and contemporary artworks, offers a journey through the Iberdrola Collection structured around two conceptual themes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cparallels<\/strong>\u201d reflect a chronological and geographical arc, from the beginnings of artistic modernity in the Basque Country in the late 19th century, through the development of the avant-garde movements from the 1950s onwards, to the more global artistic languages of the 21st century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their part, the \u201cmeridians<\/strong>\u201d organise the major themes that underpin the collection into three fundamental areas: light, nature and ingenuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The art trail extends through Do\u00f1a Casilda Iturrizar Park, featuring 24 panels that trace the key moments in Iberdrola\u2019s history and link them to some of the most iconic works in its collection, leading to the atrium of Torre Iberdrola, where nine works will be on display, several of which have been created specifically for this space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Parallels and Meridians\u2019forms part of the extensive programme of activities that Iberdrola is rolling out throughout 2026 to mark its 125th anniversary, promoting a calendar of initiatives across Spain that includes art and technology exhibitions, music festivals, social events and the illumination of iconic buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
