Iberdrola organises the largest exhibition dedicated to the technological evolution and future of electricity

Titled An Electrifying Journey: An Iberdrola Immersive Experience, the exhibition explores the evolution of electrical technology from its origins and offers visitors a glimpse into the future through an immersive and interactive experience combining innovation and education.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover the key milestones that have shaped the history of electrification, from the earliest scientific discoveries to the latest technological innovations, while virtual content offers a glimpse of what the cities of the future will look like in the “age of electricity”.

The exhibition features original pieces of significant historical and technological value, a mixed-reality experience and educational workshops designed to bring electricity closer to younger generations and encourage interest in scientific careers.

Through Iberdrola’s history, the exhibition also showcases some of the major milestones that have shaped the electricity sector, from the first power plants to the expansion of renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage and the electrification of demand.

The exhibition forms part of the “125 light-years” programme, through which Iberdrola is celebrating its 125-year history throughout 2026 with initiatives aimed at employees, customers, shareholders and society as a whole.

The exhibition will be open from Tuesday 22 September 2026 to Tuesday 20 October 2026, Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 8.45pm (last entry).

Is there a recommended minimum age?

The exhibition is suitable for all ages. However, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under the age of 10 will not be permitted to use the mixed reality headset.

The exhibition is accessible. However, some sections along the route are narrower, and large groups may make it more difficult for visitors with reduced mobility to move around comfortably.
